2 lbs pork, cut up into bit-sized pieces
2 garlic cloves

Marinade:
4 bay leaves
1 tbsp peppercorns
4 tbsp soy sauce - Kikkoman
4 tbsp water
4 tbsp brown vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the marinate and add pork (there should be enough marinade to cover the pork). Let sit for at least 10 minutes or longer.
Fry 2 garlic cloves in olive oil. Add meat and marinade. Simmer 20 minutes
Serve over cooked rice and with a tomato salad.

This has become a family staple. It came from a Philippino young man, Bonifacio Maceda, who stayed at our house on Floss Ave. He was here with a traveling group of folk dancers who performed through Judy’s school, Mount Mercy Academy. His parents ran a restaurant in the Philippines.
