Dough:
½ lb. butter
½ lb. cream cheese
2 cups flour
½ cup sugar

Filling:
Fruit preserves
Sugar
Cinnamon
Chopped Nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all the dough ingredients together well. Form into a ball. Cover and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours.

Cut the big ball into six small balls. Leave remaining dough in refrigerator while working on each ball.

Roll the dough into a circle on a lightly floured board.

Spread with jam or preserves.

Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, and nuts.

Cut into pie-shaped pieces, then roll into a crescent shape starting at the wide edge of the triangle.

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
When spreading the jam and sprinkling the toppings on the dough, put the majority toward the edge of the circle. If you get too much in the center of the circle, it will ooze out when you roll your triangles into crescents.

Rugelach is a Jewish-Polish cookie. This recipe was “smuggled” to Faith many years ago by the recipe owner’s daughter.
