2 cans Crescent Rolls
1 cup butter
1½ cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1½ cups Diet Mountain Dew
2 apples

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Butter a 13 x 9 inch baking dish.
Peel and core apples. Cut each apple into 8 wedges.
Roll each apple piece in a crescent roll and place in a prepared dish.
Melt butter in a saucepan and add sugar, vanilla and cinnamon.
Cook on low until thickened.
Pour over dumplings
Carefully pour the soda into the middle and sides of the dish, avoiding pouring onto the rolls.
Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.

When serving, Wanda added a little vanilla glaze (10x sugar, milk and vanilla, enough to make a thin glaze) and used refrigerated pie dough.
