1 and ½ LBS. of fresh, washed, pitted, quartered cherries.

Place in a glass baking dish or a buttered metal pan. In a bowl mix 1 cup quick oats or granola, ½ cup of sugar, and 2 tbsp melted butter.

Pour mixture over the cherries, followed by juice from ½ a lemon.

Bake in oven at 350º for 45 minutes.

Serve warm or cool. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream-or as is.

This is my own recipe but it is based on bits and pieces of other fruit crisps I’ve made over the years. It works with apples or peaches- or combinations of fresh seasonal fruits. Enjoy!
