1 pound (16 ounces) pinto beans, rinsed and sorted
1 small onion, chopped
4 to 6 cloves garlic, finely minced or pureed
Garlic Powder, to taste
Onion powder, to taste
Salt and Pepper, to taste
Beef Broth

Directions:
Directions:
Soak the rinsed and sorted pinto beans overnight, by covering with water. Drain and rinse the beans the following morning/day.

Place in a slow cooker (or can use a large pot on the stove). Add the onion, garlic and seasonings. Add beef broth until the beans are covered.

Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 6 hours. Serve with corn bread or warmed flour tortillas, if desired.
