Large jar (48 oz) Great Northern Beans - drained
2 cups cubes ham
2 large carrots (we like carrots, so I use 4)
1 onion diced
2 stalks celery diced
2 – 32 oz containers of chicken broth – low sodium
¼ tsp thyme
Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté onions and celery in butter, set aside.

Add a little more butter to the pan and sauté carrots.

Pour beans and chicken broth in a large pot. Add ham and simmer for a half hour.

Add sautéed onions and celery and carrots. Simmer for another half hour to an hour.
Serve hot – enjoy.

** Could also do this in a crock pot – Add all ingredients, cook on low for 4 hours.
