2 cups sliced yellow onion

2 lbs. beef steak

½ cup beef broth

½ cup soy sauce

3 Tbsp. hoisen sauce

2 Tbsp. packed dark brown sugar

1 Tbsp. rice wine or cider vinegar

1 Tbsp. ginger grated

5 cloves garlic minced

1 Tbsp. cornstarch

4 cups brocolli florets

Directions:
Place onion and meat in a slow cooker. in a small bowl combine broth, soy sauce, hoisen, brown sugar, vinegar and garlic; pour over meat mixture. Cover; cook on low 8 hours. Remove meat, reserving onion and cooking liquid in cooker. Cover meat to keep warm. in another small bowl combine 3 Tbsp. cornstarch. Turn heat setting to high. Stir in cooking liquid. Add brocolli. Cover; cook 5 minutes or until liquid is thickened is bubbly and brocolli is tender. Slice meat thinly across the grain. Stir in brocolli mixture.
Serve over rice or noodles
