1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ pound sweet chocolate (bar or chips)
½ cup nuts of choice chopped fine (almonds, walnuts, pecans, etc)

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Add egg yolk and vanilla. Sift together flour and salt and add to wet ingredients, mix well. Press mixture into the bottom of a slightly greased approximately by 10- by 13-inch pan. Bake at 350º for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and quickly sprinkle or spread chocolate overtop. Cover with nuts.
