3 cups scalded milk, cooled
1 lb margarine, melted and cooled
1 cup sugar
2 tsp salt
2 pkg yeast
¼ cup lukewarm water
5 eggs, beaten
Approximately 12 cups of flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in water. Mix with rest of ingredients, adding flour gradually to make soft dough. Cover and let rise. Separate dough into 10 balls. Roll to about ¼ inch thick, brush with melted margarine and spread filling. Roll up like jelly roll and curve into horseshoe style. Raise 10 minutes, then spread with beaten egg. Bake at 350º. When cool, brush on melted butter.

Fillings:
Nut (for 5 balls):
2 lbs nuts, finely ground; 1 cup hot milk; 1 cup sugar
Mix to form spreadable paste.

Prune (for 5 balls):
2 lbs. pitted, cooked prunes; ¼ cup sugar.
Mix in food processor.

Cheese:
1 lb. dry cottage cheese; 2 eggs; lemon rind; flour.
Mix together.
