1 c. pecan halves
1/2 c. sugar
1 t. cinnamon
pinch of cayenne powder
Or 1/2 t. nutmeg or cloves in place of cinnamon

Stir all over medium heat until sugar is in fine chunks mostly attached to nuts. Spread on cookie sheet and separate with forks immediately.
