1/2 lb bacon, chopped
1 lb spicy Italian sausage
1 medium onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, chopped
32 oz chicken broth
4 Russet potatoes, scrubbed & cubed
2 cups kale, chopped
1 cup heavy whipping cream
Salt and pepper to taste
bouquet garni (4 sprigs thyme,2 sprigs rosemary,2 bay leaves)

Directions:
Directions:
In a dutch oven or large soup pot over medium-high heat, brown bacon and then add the sausage breaking into small pieces as you fry it when no longer pink add your onion, and garlic cook 3 minutes longer.
Now add the broth, kale, potatoes, bouquet garni, and salt & pepper (water if needed) simmer until potatoes are tender. Slowly stir in the heavy cream and simmer 5 more minutes taste and adjust season.
bouquet garni tie together with string discard when soup is cooked.
