1 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
2 T. cocoa
2 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
1/2 c. milk
2 T. oil
1 t. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts, if desired
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 3/4 c. very hot water
Ice cream, if desired

Directions:
Mix flour, sugar, 2 T. cocoa, baking powder and salt in ungreased 9x9 pan. Mix in milk, oil and vanilla with fork until smooth. Stir in nuts. Smooth. Sprinkle brown sugar and 1/4 c. cocoa over batter. Pour water over all. Bake at 350º for 40 minutes, or until top is dry. Spoon warm cake into dessert dishes. Top with ice cream; then with sauce from pan.
