4 egg whites
1 cup sugar
¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon cornstarch
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
For topping
¾ heavy cream
¼ cup powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Separate the eggs into whites and yolks. Beat the whites until you see soft peaks. Then, slowly add the sugar.once you have mixed the sugar in all the way, fold in cornstarch, cream of tartar, and vanilla extract. once you have that, put on a baking tray in four nine inch circles, about half an inch thick. Preheat the oven to 350, and when it's ready, turn it down to 225, and cook the meringue for 90 minutes. It should be hard on the outside, but light and fluffy on the inside. 10 minutes before serving, mix the cream and sugar with a hand mixer until soft peaks appear. put on meringue , top with fruit, and chill until you eat.
