1/4 lb. ground pork
3/4 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup milk (1% or 2% works fine)
1 cup saltine crackers, crushed (about 23 crackers)
1 egg, beaten
1 whole onion, sliced (for top)
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup water
3 Tablespoons brown sugar
2 Tablespoons cider vinegar
2 Tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon BBQ sauce

Directions:

Combine meat, milk, bread crumbs, egg, and add salt and pepper. Form meat mixture into large balls about 1½" in diameter. Spray frying pan with cooking spray and brown the meat balls. Place browned meat balls into a casserole dish and cover with slived onions.

Using the same frying pan, combine ketchup and remaining ingredients to form sauce. Bring to a boil and pour over casserole. Bake at 300º for about 1 hour, covered.

Serve with rice or mashed potatoes.
