Grease a 8x8 sq baking pan

In a 2 1/2 qt saucepan combine:

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 cup milk
4 Tblsp butter
1 tsp Vanilla
You could add 1/2 to 1 cup nuts. Chopped. Walnuts or pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Bring sugar, milk and cocoa to a boil. Stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer.
Do not stir again.

Cook to soft ball stage. ( drop a little into glass of cold water, if you pinch it and it flattens and it stays together, your there) or 238 degrees candy thermometer

Remove from heat, Add butter and vanilla.
Beat with a wooden spoon until it looses a lot of its shine.
Pour into prepared pan.Let cool, Cut into squares
