1/4 cup whole milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups all-purpose white flour
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 egg yolks, beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Put the milk in a saucepan and scald.
Add the sugar, stir to dissolve, then let cool to room temperature.
Put the flour and yeast in a food processor and pulse to combine.
Cut up and add the butter.
Pulse until crumbly.
Transfer the mixture to a bowl.
Beat the egg yolks and vanilla extract to the milk.
Stir the milk mixture into the flour.
Wrap the dough with plastic wrap and chill until ready to use.
