2 1/2 cups English walnuts chopped
2 cups (1 lb jar) candied mixed fruits and peels
1/2 cup dark seedless raisins
1/4 cup candied cherries chopped
1 1/4 cup unsifted flour
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) margarine
3/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp of each baking powder, cinnamon and all spice
1/4 tsp cloves ground
1/2 cup orange juice

Combine walnuts, fruit, and 1/2 cup flour; set aside

Cream margarine with brown sugar until fluffy

Add eggs and beat at medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping sides of bowl occasionally

Sift together 3/4 cup flour, baking powder, cinnamon and all spice

Stir in margarine mixture alternately with orange juice

Blend mixture with fruits

Spoon into 24 medium size muffin cups lined with paper baking cups

Bake in 350º oven for 30-35 minutes or until done.

Remove and cool on wire rack.

(If desired brush with warn corn syrup to glaze
