1 pkg spaghetti

1 tablespoon chili flakes

4 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil (add more if needed)

5 cloves garlic (sliced)

1 cup parsley (chopped)

1/2 cup freshley grated parmesan

1 Tbsp butter

1 cup reserved pasta water

salt and pepper to taste

Cook spaghetti in pot of salted water, undercook one minute.

Heat a large skillet over low heat. Add olive oil and the garlic and cook over low heat for 3 minutes, until garlic is tender. Add chili flakes and 1 cup of pasta water. Turn heat up to medium and bring to simmer.

Add cooked pasta and toss to coat.

Remove from heat and stir in parsley, parmesan and butter.

I love this pasta! You can add cooked shrimp or grilled sliced chicken. This is what I order when we go to Pietros in Lodi.
