1 cup milk

1 1/2 cup bread crumbs, packaged
1 T paprika
2 pkgs thawed frozen fish, or 2 lbs fresh fish
2 T melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Wash fish in cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Put in a shallow dish and cover with milk. Soak for 10 minutes, then put fish in the bread crumbs. Lay in lightly oiled shallow baking pan and and sprinkle lightly with melted butter. Bake 12-15 minutes at 525º F. (note, wow, this is high heat - probably not good to do if the fish is thin).

This came from Aunt Evie's recipes, but really looks like my Mom's (Marjorie Gortney) handwriting. It wouldn't be unusual for it to be hers, and she and her sister shared recipes all the time. I seem to remember eating this as a kid with really thick Haddock steaks.
