1 package yellow cake mix
1 16 ounce package frozen strawberry halves, thawed
1 large package instant vanilla pudding, prepared
1 large container Cool Whip
Whole strawberries

Directions:
Directions:
Bake cake as directed on the package for 13x9x2. Cut cake crosswise in half. Freeze one half for future use. Cut the other half into 8 pieces; split each piece horizontally. Arrange half the pieces in a 2 quart glass serving bowl. (Cut pieces to fit.) Pour half the thawed strawberries over the cake. Spread with half the pudding. Repeat. Cover and chill at least 8 hours. Top with Cool Whip and garnish with strawberries.

You may also add 1/2 cup sherry to the cake before adding the strawberries. It's delicious either way!
