Ingredients:  
1 - large clove garlic, minced
1 - shallot, minced
3 tablespoons - melted butter
1 cups - milk
1 cups - whipping cream
teaspoon - salt
teaspoon - pepper
2 pounds - red potatoes, sliced ⅛ inch thick
4 ounces - Gruyere cheese
cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Directions:
Directions:
1. Saute first 3 ingredients for 2 minutes.
2. Add next 4 ingredients. Mix together.
3. Add potatoes and bring to a boil over medium heat. Transfer to 9x12 inch casserole dish. Add Gruyere cheese and top with Parmesan cheese.
4. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes. Let stand 20-30 minutes before serving
