1 cup flour (sift flour, then measure – or use pre-sifted!)
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup coconut
1/2 cup butter or fat
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup water
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
1. Use muffin (or cake) method of mixing (i.e. - mix together flour, baking soda and salt; cream together sugar, fat, vanilla and water; add flour mixture to creamed mixture, then add coconut and rolled oats).
2. Drop by spoon onto a greased baking sheet.
3. Press into very thin wafers with a fork.
4. Bake at 360F until a delicate brown.
5. Remove from the pan immediately. Makes 4 dozen – Rice Krispies can be used in place of coconut.
