4 cups flour
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 slightly beaten egg
approximately ½ cup hot water

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cut butter into flour and add remaining ingredients add enough water to roll out like
a pastry crust.
2. Roll on floured surface to ⅛ to ¼ inch thickness
3. Cut into 3 inch squares.
4. Bake at 350º for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Like a pie crust.
