185g Butter
250ml Golden Syrup
3 Eggs beaten
550g Brown Sugar
5 cups Flour
20ml Baking Soda
20ml Cream of Tartar
50ml Ginger
5ml Salt


Directions:
Directions:
Turn oven on to 180 deg C
Melt together the Butter and Golden syrup
Add beaten Eggs and Brown Sugar.
Sift together Flour, Baking Soda, Cream of tartar, Ginger and Salt.
Mix all ingredients together.
Grease or line baking trays, roll dough into balls and press down with fork. (can dampen fork or dip in flour to stop sticking)
Bake in moderate oven for 10 - 15 mins until dark brown
