2 3/4 C Flour
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp kosher salt
3/4 C unsalted butter at room temperature
1 C sugar
1 large egg
1/4 C molasses
1Tbsp ginger

1/2 C sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Using electric mixer, beat the butter and 1 C sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the egg, molasses and ginger - reduce mixer speed to low and gradually add the flour mixture just until incorporated.
Refrigerate about 1 hour.

Heat oven to 350º -- line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Place the 1/2 C of sugar in a small bowl.
Take 1 rounded tsp for each cookie and roll into a ball - roll the ball in the sugar and then place on cookie sheet.
It will help even cooking if you use a fork to gently flatten the balls on the sheet before cooking

Bake for 8-10 minutes.
