Ingredients: 1 lb. 80/20 ground beef (OR 1 lb. 80/20 ground turkey) 4 thick slices mozzarella cheese Your favorite pasta sauce (i.e. Prego, Barilla, Ragu, etc) 1 small jar green olives, chopped with pimento Italian seasoning

Directions:Cut meat into fourths and shape into patties. Using your grill or broiler, cook one side of the patty 5-6 minutes. Flip burgers and add toppings: First, top with pasta sauce. Next add chopped olives. Finally, lay a slice of cheese on each patty and sprinkle with Italian seasoning. Finish cooking and serve on Kaiser rolls. |

Notes: Several years ago, "Good Morning America" promoted a search for the "Best Burger in America." I sent my recipe to them and they called to invite me to cook it on the program. GMA said they would fly me to NYC and put me up for one night (only one person). I would cook my burger competing against 3 others. If I won, I would surrender the rights to my recipe AND also have to declare the money they spent to get me there as income (having to file a 1099). I told 'em "You gotta be kidding....and you can forget THAT!
