1 lb. butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 Tablespoons cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
5 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Cream softened butter and sugars together in mixer bowl. Add eggs, cream and vanilla. Add flour and baking soda. Scrap mixer bowl ingredients onto a clean, dry surface. Shape the dough into 2 or 3 logs, wrap individually in plastic wrap or parchment paper and refrigerate.

Cut dough into 1/4" thick slices and place on baking sheet. Using your fingers, press the edges of the cookies down a bit. Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
