Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 cup hearty burgundy wine
1 cup canola oil
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
5 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Mix wine, oil, sugar, and salt
Whisk the flour and baking powder and add gradually

Mix with electric mixer

Dough should be wet rather than dry, less flour is okay

Pinch off a piece of dough and roll to form a circle. Avoid using flour on your hands. Dough will be easy to manage due to the oil.

Bake on an ungreased or parchment-lined cookie sheet. 350 for 20 minutes.

Experiment time and temp depends on size of biscuit.

The bottom should be lightly browned. Rolling small and thin gives you a slight crunch.

Personal Notes:
This recipe makes a large batch; however, they keep well for a long time in air-tight containers. On occasion I've made half the recipe.
