6 Eggs
3/4 c. Sugar
1/4 t. Salt
2 c. Whole Milk

Mix 2
1 c. Sugar
1 pint Cream
1 pint Half and Half

Directions:
Directions:
Heat mix 1 in a saucepan until it thickens and coats a metal spoon with a thin film or 160º. Put in freezer immediately. Keep in freezer for several hours. When ready get ice cream maker and add mix 1 and 2. Turn on ice cream maker and add snow and ice. Mix until done.

Mom makes this perfectly. I cannot make it to save my life. I always burn the custard part. Homemade ice cream and fried catfish is my all-time favorite summer meal.
