French Onion Soup Recipe

3 cans chicken broth
3 large onions
¼ Cup butter
¼ Cup flour
Shredded (white) cheddar for serving

Directions:
Directions:
1. Slice onions; saute in large skillet with butter. Cook, covered, until softened, stirring frequently. If needed, add a little more butter. When softened, add flour and stir. Continue to cook and stir until flour is cooked 5 minutes or so.
2. Meanwhile, heat broth in large sauce pan. Add a couple cups slowly to onions, stirring the entire time (it will be sorta think). Add back to sauce pan.
3. Simmer at least a half hour. Add salt, pepper, and a little garlic powder
