2 pkg Johnsonville Italian sausage links (mild, sweet or hot)
3 tbsp olive oil
3 thinly sliced yellow onions
6 thinly sliced bell peppers, assorted colors
2 tbsp dry parsley
1 tbsp oregano
1 tbsp basil
2 tbsp minced garlic
2 bay leaves
1/2 cup red wine
2 15 oz cans petite diced tomatoes
2 15 oz cans tomato sauce
pinch of sugar
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
In a large skillet, brown sausages on each side and transfer to slow cooker or large stock pot. Using the same skillet, saute the onions and peppers in olive oil until tender and add to sausages. Add remaining ingredients to slow cooker and simmer on low heat for 6 to 8 hours. Stir occasionally. Season with salt & pepper to taste when finished cooking.
