2 cups sifted confectioner's sugar
2 TB milk
2 TB butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
OR 1 TB lemon juice & 1 TB water instead of milk + 1 tsp lemon rind

Directions:
Directions:
Measure sugar into a bowl.

Heat milk & butter over low heat until butter is melted.

Add to sugar. stirring vigerously until smooth.

Stir in vanilla.

Thin with a few drops of milk (or lemon juice) if necessary

Spread warm glaze over top of cake, allowing to drip down the sides.
