2 1/4 cup sifted cake flour
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup oil
6 eggs separated
2 tbsp molasses
3/4 cup cold water
1 tsp grated orange rind
2 tsp orange juice
1/2 tsp cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, sugar and baking powder, salt, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg together in a bowl. Make a well and add in order the oil, egg yolks, molasses, water, orange rind and juice. Beat with a spoon until smooth. Add cream of tartar to the egg whites and beat until very very stiff. Pour the egg yolk mixture gradually over the whipped egg whites, carefully folding with a rubber scraper just until blended. Do not stir. Pour immediately into an uncreased 10x4" tube pan; Bake at 325F for 70 minutes or until the top springs back when lightly touched. After removing the cake from the oven, turn the pan upside down, placing tube part over the neck of a small funnel. When cold, loosen the sides with a spatula; remove the cake from the pan.
