1 lb flour
4 oz lard
4 oz butter
2 tsp baking powder
7 oz sugar
8 oz currants
3 eggs
pinch nutmeg
milk

Directions:
Directions:
Rub the fat into the flour and add the other dry ingredients. Beat the eggs well and add to the mixture. Add enough milk to keep the mixture soft. Place in a shallow, greased and floured tin and baking in a moderate oven 350F for 20 minutes and then lower to 275 for 40 minutes
