2 cups fresh peaches, sliced
1 cup sugar
1/4 pound butter
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Put Sliced peaches and 1 cup sugar in a bowl and let it stand while mixing batter.
Heat oven to 350º. Put butter in a 9X13 pan or 2-quart casserole dish, melt in heating oven.
Mix the rest of the dry ingredients, beat in the milk until lumps are gone. Pour batter into melted butter. Do not stir. Spoon the sliced peaches over the top of the batter. Do not stir. Bake 45 minutes or until brown. Serve with fresh or sour cream.

Note: Cherries or blueberries may be used (fresh or frozen). Also a large can of peaches may be used, do not drain juice and omit 1st cup of sugar.
