1 pie crust
5 large apples, peeled and sliced thin (6 cups)
3/4 c sugar
3 tbsp flour
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 c sour cream

1/2 c firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c sifted flour
4 tbsp butter or margerine

Preheat oven to 350.

Prepare pie crust and fit into 9" pie plate.
Flute to make high edge.
Combine apples, sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, lemon juice, and sour cream.
Toss lightly until mixed.
Spoon into pastry shell.

Mix brown sugar and 1/2 c sifted flour.
Cut in butter until mixture forms fine crumbs.
Sprinkle over apple mixture.

Bake for 1 hour or until apples are tender and pastry is golden.
