1 lb sliced whole wheat bread, crust removed
8 oz cream cheese, softened
10 oz pkg chopped broccoli
¼ lb sliced Muenster cheese
1 cup evaporated milk
1½ cups water
5 eggs
1 cup milk
2 tbsp chopped onion
1¾ tsp salt
1 tsp grated lemon rind
½ tsp black pepper
2 tbsp melted butter

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º

Spread bread with cream cheese and layer in 13X9X2 greased baking dish. Place broccoli on top fo the bread, lay cheese on top of broccoli. Continue to loayer untill all the bread, broccoli and cheese are used. Blend evaporated milk and regular milk, water, eggs, onion, salt, lemon rind, and pepper in large bowl or blender. Pour mixture slowly over bread and cheese. Drizzle with butter. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour, best overnight. Bake for 60-70 minutes.

May substitute sausage for broccoli or use half sausage and half broccoli.
