3 eggs
cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 melted shortening
cup baking powder, sifted
4 c ups flour, sifted
1 tbsp anisette or vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350

Beat eggs, anise and sugar 15 minutes til thick and lemon colored. Add milk and shortening alternately with flour and baking powder. Add pinch of salt, measure 3 cups flour, save 1 cup without powder. Add last cup of flour til just barely not sticky, light and fluffy. Bake for 10-15 minutes
