1 tsp Salt
1 cup uncooked oatmeal
1 ¾ cup Boiling Water
1 cup lightly packed Brown Sugar
1 cup White Sugar
1 Stick Butter (½ cup)
2 Lg Eggs
1 ¾ cup Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Cocoa
1 ½ cup Milk Chocolate Chips
¾ cup chopped nuts (If desired)

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over oatmeal & let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes. Meanwhile measure and sift together flour, baking soda, salt and cocoa and set aside. Add Brown Sugar, White Sugar and Butter to Oatmeal mixture, Stir until Butter melts. Add eggs and mix well. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Add 1 cup Chocolate Chips, Pour batter into greased and floured 9x13 pan. Sprinkle nuts and rest of Chocolate Chips on top.
Bake 350º for 40 minutes or until done.
May also be made in mini loaf pans. Remove from pans immediately. cool on rack.
