1 onion
carrots
3 cups water ( I use stock)
3 garlic
1 bay leaf
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp cider vinegar
1/2 tsp pepper
corned beef

cabbage ( usually use the pk. coleslaw and heat it
in frying pan with butter and seasoning )
the recipe suggests cooking it on top of meat
Directions:

Place vegetables in crock pot
Combine water,garlic,bay leaf,sugar,vinegar and pepper
pour over vegetables
top with meat

The recipe calls for cooking the potatoes with the meat
I prefer to serve the meat with mashed potatoes

Don't forget the dried split peas wrapped in cheese cloth and cooked with the meat

this is one of our favourite meals
