2 cups flour and 2 cups sugar- combine.

1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 stick butter
4 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 cup water

1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 well beaten eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

For frosting-----
1 stick butter
6 tablespoons milk
4 tablespoons baking cocoa
3 3/4 to 4 cups powdered sugar
1 cup pecans if desired
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
combine oil, water, butter and 4 tablespoons cocoa into saucepan and bring to rapid boil. Pour over sugar and flour mixture. Stir well and add buttermilk, soda, eggs and vanilla. Mix well and pour into greased and floured 18X12X1 inch baking pan. Bake 20 minutes at 400º.

For frosting-----
Mix butter, milk, and cocoa together and bring to boil. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar, pecans, and vanilla. Allow to cool to desired consistency and frost cooled cake.
