2 quarts cider
Juice of 2 oranges
Juice of 2 lemons
15 whole cloves
6 cinnamon sticks
1 T. honey
1 T. ground allspice
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 1/2 c. rum
3 T. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all but rum and butter in a large pot or slow cooker. Simmer for 2 hours. Strain. Add rum. Float 1/2 T. butter in each mug. Makes 6 10-oz. drinks.

Mom would make this at holidays. I'm sure I didn't like it because it had rum in it. That shouldn't be a problem for anyone using this cookbook.
