3 slices white bread, butter each slice
6 medium potatoes, pared and sliced thin.
salt and pepper
onion salt
1¾ c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Grease 1½ quart casserole dish. Blend buttered bread into bread crumbs. Set aside. Put ⅓ of the potato slices into casserole dish, sprinkle with salt, pepper and onion salt then cover with ⅓ of the bread crumbs. Continue to layer potatoes and bread crumbs with crumbs ending up on top. Add milk, pouring carefully down sides. Cover and bake 30 min. Then uncover and bake 30 min. longer. Could add grated cheese as an additional layer if desired.
