1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
4 c. + 4 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Combine powdered sugar, white sugar, margarine, and vegetable oil and beat 5-10 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Separately, combine flour, salt, cream of tartar, and baking soda. Gradually add flour mixture to wet ingredients until thoroughly combined. Chill overnight. Preheat oven to 350º. Roll into 1" balls, roll in white sugar, place on cookie sheet, and flatten with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake 10-12 minutes.
