¾ c. shortening
1 c. sugar
¼ c. molasses
1 egg
2 c. flour
¼ tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar in a bowl
Then, beat in the molasses and egg
In a separate bowl, sift together flour, salt, baking soda, cloves, and ginger
Combine wet and dry ingredients together
Roll cookie dough into balls and roll into sugar
Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes
