Frosted Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

2 c. butter
3 c. flour
1 c. white sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
3 c. old-fashioned oatmeal

⅓ c. butter, brown slightly
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. powdered sugar
⅓ c. evaporated milk
1 tbsp. Karo syrup

1. Cream butter, sugar and eggs, beat together, then add flour, salt and soda. Add oatmeal.
2. Drop by teaspoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes at 375.
3. Frost with icing.
