4 to 5 cups flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 packages yeast (about 2 tablespoons)
1 cup milk
½ cup water
¼ cup butter

Directions:
Directions:
Combine 3 ½ cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast in bowl. Attach bowl and dough hook. Turn to speed 2 and mi 1 minute. Combine milk, water and butter. Heat to 120º to 130º. Turn to speed to and gradually add liquid to flour, about 30 seconds. Mix 1 minute longer.
Continue on speed 2 adding remaining flour, ½ cup at a time (as much as is needed). Mix until dough hangs on hook about 5 minutes. Knead dough on speed 2 for 7 to 10 minutes longer or until dough is smooth and elastic. Stop.
Place in a greased bowl, turning to grease top. Cover, place dough in pan of water at about 98º. Let rise 15 minutes.
Turn dough on floured boards. Divide in ½ and shape as curlicues or clovers. Cover: let rise in 90º oven 15 minutes or until double. Bake at 450º 12 minutes or until done.
Curlicues: roll ½ dough to a 12x9 inch rectangle. Roll as in a jelly roll. Cut into 12 1 inch rolls.
