Ingredients:  
1/2 lb flour
4 oz castor sugar
1 egg
4 oz lard
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Rub the fat into the flour and add the other dry ingredients. Beat the egg lightly and add with enough milk to make a soft rolling consistency. Bake spoonful of the mixture on a greased griddle.
