2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
cup fig preserves
1 cup chopped nuts
3 eggs
1 tbs vanilla
1 tsp Baking soda
1 tsp Salt
1 cup oil
1 cup buttermilk

1 cup sugar
1 tbsp corn syrup
cup buttermilk
1 stick butter
1 tbsp vanilla
tsp soda

Mix flour, salt, soda, and sugar. Add oil beat well. Add eggs and buttermilk gradually. Add figs, nuts, and vanilla. Pour into greased pan. Bake at 325 for 45 minutes. While hot pour sauce over Cake.

Mix sugar, corn syrup, buttermilk, butter, vanilla and soda. Boil for 3 Minutes.
