2½-3 lbs. chicken pieces
4-5 Tb. Italian salad dressing
1 carrot
1 stalk celery
1 med. onion
2 cups rice
4 cups chicken broth
sausage, link or bacon 3-4 strips

Directions:
Directions:

Cook chicken in water. Cut up and cover. Bring water to boil. Add salad dressing, and vegetables. Simmer chicken 30-40 minutes or until done. Do not boil. Remove chicken, Bring broth to a boil. Add salt. Measure broth in large pot, ratio of 2 cups broth to 1 cup rice. Stir rice in boiling broth. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Add chicken, lots of salt and pepper to taste. Add cooked bacon or sausage, cut into pieces. Stir and let cook for 1 hour simmer very low. May need to add more broth or chicken soup if becomes dry.
